The BeltLine Stakeholders

Many people will be affected by the BeltLine given that its proposed twenty-two mile loop could link many neighborhoods and parks and could provide dramatic expansion of public transit in Atlanta.

The decisions made now about funding this new transit system and about the most appropriate form of economic development to help support it are critical and will have long-lasting effects. These decisions should be made carefully and should be based on enhancing neighborhoods and bringing value to the city and all its citizens.

While an inclusive, public process of determining appropriate development in appropriate locations and funded by appropriate mechanisms might seem cumbersome, a slow, cautious approach maximizes input and assures a responsible outcome.
